Abboud, Pawlak compete at ITA All-American Championships

LUBBOCK, Texas – Two Red Raiders are traveling to Tulsa, Okla., to compete in the ITA All-American Championships hosted at the University of Tulsa.
The two players that are going are Sebastian Abboud and Piotr Pawlak. Both Abboud and Pawlak will make their 2024 fall season debut as they compete as a duo in the main draw of doubles starting on Sept. 25.
Abboud and Pawlak began the fall season ranked No. 7 in the preseason ITA doubles rankings. The duo finished together last season ranked as high as No. 24 in ITA rankings and undefeated in doubles at courts two (3-0) and three (1-0). The duo finished the season named All-Big 12 Second Team Doubles.
In a new format this fall, 10 singles players will qualify for the NCAA Singles Championship (eight main draw quarterfinalists & two feed-in consolation finalists) from the ITA All-American Championships. Meanwhile, four doubles teams will qualify for the NCAA Doubles Championship through the All-American Championships (four main draw semifinalists).
The tournament will have live stats available and will be streamed on both TrackTennis and the Cracked Racquets YouTube channel.
