OLYMPIA FIELDS, IL – Senior Charlie DeLong led the Red Raiders at the Fighting Illini Invitational to a top-10 finish, as teams played 36 holes on Saturday to wrap the tournament one day early due to forecasted inclement weather on Sunday. Texas Tech finished the tournament 10-over-par (850), carding its best round last, a 3-under 277 in round three.

DeLong, who struggled in Friday's first round, led the Red Raiders on Saturday by carding a 1-under-par 69 in the second round and a 2-under-par 68 in the final round. The senior finished tied for 22nd among a field of 78.

Freshman Connor Graham carded a 6-over-par 76 in the second round but bounced back in the final round. The freshman came back strong with a score of 1-under-par 69 to finish tied for 32nd.

Senior Calum Scott and sophomore Ben Gregg both finished tied for 37th. Gregg, who shot a 4-over-par 74 in round one and a 3-over-par 73 in round two, finished the third round with an impressive 2-under-par 68, which included five birdies. Meanwhile, Scott fired the Red Raiders' first eagle of the season on hole 15 during the final round.

While play was expedited for 36 holes on Saturday, three teams – Georgia Tech, Arizona State, and Florida – could not finish and will attempt to finish in the morning at 7:30 a.m. CT.

The Red Raiders will hit the course next at the Ben Hogan Collegiate Invitational, at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas, Sep. 30-Oct. 1.
