The Red Raiders seek their fourth straight win
HOUSTON – Fresh off a 2-1 victory over Kansas State Thursday night, No. 25 Texas Tech head to Houston Sunday for a 1 p.m. match that will close out a three-match road trip.

Looking to record their 13th-straight road result (8-0-4) and 22nd-consecutive Big 12 result (18-0-4), Tech can also move to above .500 on the road this season with a win. Â

Meeting for the first time in Houston and for just the third time in program history, the Red Raiders will look to move to a perfect 3-0-0 against the Cougars after defeating UH 3-0 in consecutive seasons at the Walker.

Tech enters Sunday's match in a three-way tie for second place in the Big 12 standings with 10 points. The Red Raiders are just two points behind first place WVU who sits on 12 points after a perfect 4-0-0 start.

The Red Raiders currently riding a seven-match unbeaten streak (6-0-1) that dates back to a 2-0 loss at Utah State back on Aug. 25.

Up 1-0 after a Peyton Annen rocket off a deflected corner, Texas Tech (8-2-1, 3-0-1 Big 12) saw its 1-0 erased in the 39th minute when Kansas State (3-7-1, 0-4-0) intercepted an errant pass for their lone goal of the night.

The goal for Annen was her third career goal, but first as a Red Raider.

Absorbing the gut punch, the Red Raiders needed just 57 second to find an answer, as Kaitlyn Giametta buried a loose ball for her fourth goal of the season.

Both goals were assisted by sophomore Taylor Zdrojewski, who earned her second and third assist of the season.
Keeper Faith Nguyen made a pair of saves to close out her third straight win, and sixth of the season.

With the victory, the Red Raiders extend their power conference leading Big 12 unbeaten streak to 21 (17-0-4) straight matches and their road unbeaten streak to 12 (8-0-4).
