Lady Raiders conclude tournament in Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas – Freshman Kseniia Logvin went undefeated in singles without dropping a set as the Lady Raiders concluded play at the JAE Foundation Fall Open this weekend.
Logvin opened the tournament with a win over SMU's Allie Bittner, 6-1, 6-3. She then took down host-school's Cristina Ramos Sierra of TCU by a 6-1, 6-4 score. Logvin added her last singles win of the competition with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Rice's Anushka Ashar.
Sophomore Elena Daskalova collected a couple singles wins at the tournament after beating Nebraska's Yuzu Miyoshi, 6-2, 6-4, and TCU's Tomi Main, 6-3, 6-4. Senior Hailey Murphy won her only singles match of the weekend when she took down SMU's Elena Mireles, 7-6 (4), 6-3. Both Arina Oreshchenkova and Ella Brownback rounded out the singles wins with victories over Natalie Stasny (SMU), 6-4,6-2, and Cayetana Gay (TCU), 6-3, 2-6, 6-3, respectively.
In doubles, Daskalova went 3-0 as she paired up with Oreshchenkova to take down Yu-Yun Chen and Bella Lewis (BYU), 6-3. She then paired with Brownback to defeat Rice's Ema Mravcova and Valentina Ponce Serrano, 6-0. In her final match, Daskalova and Murphy beat the Notre Dame duo of Jessica Kovalcik and Marilouise Van Zyl, 6-1.
Brownback also went an undefeated, 3-0 in doubles as her and Oreshchenkova earned a 6-3 victory over TCU's Letizia Corsini and Main, 6-3. Brownback also added a doubles win with teammate Logvin as the pair overtook Rylie Hanford and Esther Vyrlan of Notre Dame, 6-4.
Up next, the Lady Raiders compete in ITA Sectionals on Nov. 6-9 and at the UNF Invitational on Nov. 7-9.
