Red Raiders head to Dallas

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders head to the Ralston/Neufeld Coaches Challenge hosted by SMU over the Halloween weekend to continue their fall slate after an impressive weekend at the ITA Texas Regionals.

Ludovico Vaccari, Felipe Pagnacco and Thomas Van Den Dooren will all head to Dallas to compete against players from notable schools like TCU, SMU, RICE, UTRGV and BYU.

Last tournament in College Station, Pagnacco and Van Den Dooren had an impressive weekend in singles. With Van Den Dooren making it to the round of 32 in the main draw before falling to Yazid Lahjomri from UT Arlington, 6-0, 4-6, 6-4. Pagnacco would advance to the semifinals round in the consolation draw before being defeated in by Filip Apltauer from TCU, 6-2, 6-2.

Vaccari has also had an impressive start to the season by becoming the singles flight champion at the Waco Fall Kickoff Classic earlier this year, where he defeated players from SMU and Rice.

The tournament will start on Friday, Oct. 31 and continue through the weekend, ending on Sunday, Nov. 2.
