• Sunday's matchup will also be the first regular season matchup between KU and Tech since the 2022 season when the Red Raiders went into Lawrence and downed KU 2-0.
• Tech and KU did not face each other in either of the 2023 season or the 2024 regular season, but did matchup in the 2024 Big 12 Tournament in Kansas City. In Thursday's thrashing of Oklahoma State, the Red Raiders got single goals from four different players including sophomore Millie Elwood who scored her first career goal in the 84th minute to provide the capper.
Elwood became the eighth different Red Raider to find the back of the net this season. • Parsons goal marked the third time in the last four games that the attacking mid has scored in a contest and was her eighth career game-winning goal which moved her into solo ninth place on the Red Raiders all-time game-winners list.
• With her goal on Thursday night, Blackburn also worked her way up the record books as the All-American recorded her 57th and 58th career points to move into solo eighth on the all-time points list. Blackburn needs just one point to tie Jessica Fuston for seventh all-time on the points list.
• Also back in the score sheet on Thursday, was Taylor Zdorjewski who scored for the first time since the win over New Mexico State (Sept. 2), a span of four games. Despite not scoring for that four-match span, Zdrojewski still kept the team lead in goals scored.
