Freshman Samantha Lincoln records nine strikeouts in seven innings for fifth perfect game in program history
AUSTIN, Texas – Freshman Samantha Lincoln tossed a perfect game in the No. 8 Red Raiders (7-2) 3-0 win over UMass (3-5) on Saturday. Lincoln recorded nine strikeouts through seven innings on her way to the fifth perfect game in program history.
Lincoln only had one three-ball count all game and it came against the first batter she faced. This is also the first full-game perfect outing by a Tech pitcher since Amanda Renfro did it in 2001.
