The men and women’s team swept the Big 12 indoor titles last Saturday
LUBBOCK, Texas – Wes Kittley was named the Big 12 Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year, the league office announced Thursday afternoon.
For Kittley overall, this is his ninth Big 12 Coach of the Year honor

The men's and women's teams swept the indoor titles last Saturday as the men's side won their third-straight indoor title, while the women's team claimed their first-ever conference track and field title.The men's team scored 130 points, holding a 40-point lead over Oklahoma State. Meanwhile, the women's team scored 113.5 points, a 41.5 lead over BYU.
Up next for the No. 5-ranked Red Raiders will be the NCAA Indoor Championships taking place in Virgina Beach, Va., hosted by Norfolk State Mar. 14-15 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
Tech goes into the meet boasting 10 entries on the men's side and nine on the women's side. The Tech men have the third-most entries for the men's competition.
