LUBBOCK, Texas – After an offseason filled with headlines, Texas Tech will look to make a few more starting Tuesday when the Red Raiders head to Big 12 Media Days, powered by Copilot, held this year at The Star in Frisco.
Â
Texas Tech has been among the most-discussed programs in college football this offseason after head coach Joey McGuire and his staff signed the nation's top transfer portal class to go along with key returning standouts such as quarterback Behren Morton, linebacker Jacob Rodriguez and wide receiver Caleb Douglas, among others. The Red Raiders also officially opened the Dustin R. Womble Football Center in January, providing Texas Tech with easily one of the best football facilities in the country.
Â
McGuire will meet with the media in attendance beginning at 11:15 a.m. with live coverage on ESPN+. He will later join the ESPNU set immediately after as part of the networks expanded coverage of Big 12 Media Days, which will feature host Matt Barrie alongside analysts Greg McElroy and Brock Osweiler and reporter Katie George. Coverage both days will be available across ESPN2, ESPNU and ESPN+.
Â
In addition to McGuire, the Red Raiders will be represented by linebacker Jacob Rodriguez, defensive lineman Lee Hunter, outside linebacker Romello Height, defensive back Cole Wisniewski, quarterback Behren Morton and wide receiver Caleb Douglas. This will be second-straight year Morton and Rodriguez have been part of Texas Tech's contingent at Big 12 Media Days.
Â
The Red Raiders will also meet with numerous national outlets Tuesday, including ESPN.com, The Athletic, Sports Illustrated, Yahoo! Sports, CBS Sports as well as Big 12 television partners FOX, ESPN and TNT Sports. The entire contingent can also be heard locally throughout the day with interviews on Double T 97.3 FM and various radio outlets throughout the state of Texas and nationally. McGuire will round out the day with an appearance on SportsCenter during the 4 p.m. hour.
Â
Texas Tech is one of eight schools to open the two-day event Tuesday as the Red Raiders will be joined by representatives from Arizona State, Baylor, BYU, UCF, Cincinnati, Iowa State and Kansas State. The remaining eight conference members will be part of Wednesday's proceedings.
Â
Texas Tech will have extensive coverage from Frisco through the football accounts social media channels on X, Facebook and Instagram. McGuire's full press conference can be found late in the day via TexasTech+ and the Red Raiders' official YouTube channel.
