2025 SEASON (SENIOR)
- Put together his best collegiate season during his lone year as a Red Raider, drawing rave reviews as one of the top edge rushers in the country and a potential NFL Draft pick … among the highest-rated defensive players in the country, among all positions at the end of the season … key part of a Texas Tech defense that matched the school record for team sacks.Â
- Started all 14 games at outside linebacker for a Red Raider defense that was among the nation’s most-dominant units … was one of eight Red Raiders on the defensive side of the ball to start in all 14 games and one of 15 players on the team to do so … among the most dominant players in the country in getting to the quarterback, finishing with 10.0 sacks … was part of 38 total tackles on the year (21 solo) and 11.5 tackles for loss … credited with 13 quarterback hurries in the official stats, which was tied with David Bailey for the team high.Â
- Combined with David Bailey to be the lone duo in the country to both record at least 10.0 sacks on the season … became only the 30th FBS duo since 2005 to both have 10.0 or more sacks in a season and only the third to do so from the Big 12, joining Texas’ Sergio Kindle and Brian Orakpo in 2008 and Jackson Jeffcoat and Cedric Reed in 2013 … combined with not only Bailey but also Lee Hunter and Jacob Rodriguez to give the Red Raiders four players with at least 10.0 tackles for loss … the Red Raiders were one of only two FBS teams with four or more players with that total, joining only Indiana … marked the first time a Big 12 program had four players with at least 10.0 tackles for loss since Oklahoma State in 2021.Â
- Known for his ability to cause negative yardage with at least a share of a tackle for loss in 11 of 14 games overall with a sack being the result in nine of those contests … was second on the team for both tackles for loss and sacks and ranked tied for ninth for total tackles … recorded at least one tackle in all 14 games and finished with four or more stops in six different contests.Â
- Part of a defense that led the country with 32 takeaways, which included his two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery of his own … both forced fumbles as well as the fumble recovery came during Big 12 play … second of his two forced fumbles was the direct result of a sack at Kansas State.Â
- Ended the season as the fifth-highest graded player in the country by Pro Football Focus … received a 92.5 overall grade by the publication, placing him behind only two teammates in David Bailey (93.3) and Jacob Rodriguez (93.0) as well as Central Michigan edge rusher Michael Heldman (93.2) and Miami edge Rueben Bain Jr. (92.8) … highly considered for his work as a pass rusher with a 92.6 grade in that area, which was seventh-best in the FBS … had a 92.4 grade in coverage, which was tied for third nationally and easily the highest among edge players.
- PFF credited him with 62 pressures, which was the seventh-highest total in the country and was easily the most in his career … came into his final collegiate season with his career high for pressures being 32 from his 2024 campaign at Georgia Tech … nearly came close to matching his career total for pressures entering the season, ultimately finishing with 131 over four full seasons … credited with 598 defensive snaps by PFF, easily the most in his collegiate career.Â
- AWARDS AND HONORS: an All-Big 12 first team honoree by the conference coaches … one of a school-record six All-Big 12 first team picks by the league coaches, including three along the defensive line alongside David Bailey and Lee Hunter … later tabbed a second team All-Big 12 selection by the Associated Press … member of the All-Big 12 first team by Pro Football Focus, which incorporates its grading system into its awards … a second team All-Texas honoree by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football … named to the Panini Senior Bowl Top 300 and the Shrine Bowl 1,000 lists prior to the season.Â
- IN THE TEXAS TECH RECORD BOOK: his 10.0 sacks ranked tied for 10th all-time on the Texas Tech single-season chart …  joined with David Bailey to become the first Texas Tech teammates to each record 10.0 or more sacks in a season in school history. … part of a Texas Tech defense that matched the single-season team record with 41.0 total sacks … had 2.0 of Texas Tech’s nine sacks in its win over Kansas, which snapped the longstanding single-game mark.Â
- IN NCAA RANKINGS: closed the season in a tie for 15th nationally for total sacks (10.0) and 18th for sacks per game (0.71) … combined with David Bailey to be the lone duo in the country to both record at least 10.0 sacks on the season.
- IN BIG 12 RANKINGS: finished third in the conference for total sacks (10.0), trailing only David Bailey (14.5) and Utah’s John henry Daley (11.5) … was fourth for both yards caused by sacks (70) and sacks per game (0.71) … his 11.5 tackles for loss, meanwhile, ended the season in a tie for sixth in the league, resulting in 72 yards lost, which was fourth overall.Â
- SEASON HIGHLIGHTS:
- Recorded at least a share of a sack in each of his first three games of the season … lone tackle in the season-opening win over Arkansas Pine-Bluff (8/30) was the result of a half-sack with him and Lee Hunter that blew up a third-down attempt … added two quarterback hurries in the win as well, including one that disrupted another third-down try earlier in the first quarter … posted two quarterback hurries in all three non-conference games with similar performances versus Kent State (9/6) and Oregon State (9/13).
- His sack versus Kent State was one of two tackles in the win and came a play prior to Skyler Gill-Howard’s memorable pick-six midway through the second quarter … had previously caused an incompletion on third down earlier in the quarter via one of his two quarterback hurries … closed non-conference play with four tackles versus the Beavers, including a sack for an eight-yard loss late in the second quarter … both quarterback hurries against Oregon State blew up third-down attempts.Â
- Limited to only one tackle in the first two games of Big 12 play at both Utah (9/20) and Houston (10/4) … added a quarterback hurry against the Cougars, which disrupted a third-down pass near the goal line and forced Houston to attempt a field goal … would also have another one-tackle performance later in the year in the shutout victory over Oklahoma State (10/25), which included two quarterback hurries.
- One of his best performances of the season came in the home win over Kansas (10/11) with a career-high six tackles, including 2.0 sacks … matched his career high for sacks in the win, which was previously set at Arizona State in 2023 while at USC … three of six tackles in the win were the result of a sack after combining with David Bailey for two of them with one other being a solo takedown … teamed with Bailey to stop Kansas’ opening drive of the game by sacking Jalon Daniels for a 15-yard loss … the two combined for another sack early in the fourth quarter to halt another drive near midfield … his lone solo sack came on the second-to-last play of the first quarter and eventually led to a punt … credited with a season-high eight pressures by Pro Football Focus in the win.
- Followed with four tackles the next week at Arizona State (10/18), which included a forced fumble and a half-sack … found Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt at same time as A.J. Holmes Jr. for a key sack at the time on 2nd-and-goal early in the third quarter … later punched out a completed pass over the middle, only for the Sun Devils to recover.
- Began the month of November with two tackles in the road win at Kansas State (11/1), including a strip sack late in the fourth quarter … put the game away with a sack of Avery Johnson with 4:52 remaining in regulation, knocking the ball loose in the process, only for John Curry to recover and return 10 yards for a touchdown … defensive touchdown pushed Texas Tech’s lead to 36-20 at the time … had a quarterback hurry earlier in the game that forced a key fourth-down completion to give the Red Raiders the ball back on their side of the field.
- Recorded four tackles in each of the final two home games of the season versus BYU (11/8) and UCF (11/15) … set the tone early in the BYU win with a quarterback hurry alongside with David Bailey on the first play of the game … recorded a sack on UCF’s final drive of the first half, which eventually set up a punt and gave the Red Raiders the ball back to drive 60 yards to set up a Stone Harrington 45-yard field goal.Â
- Matched his career high with 2.0 sacks again in the regular-season finale at West Virginia (11/29) … halted the Mountaineers’ first drive of the game with a solo sack that went for an 11-yard loss and forced a punt … later found the quarterback again just before halftime in Texas Tech’s second shutout victory of the season.
- Lone tackle in the Edward Jones Big 12 Championship (12/6) went for a one-yard loss to start BYU’s first drive of the second quarter … BYU punted three plays later, giving the ball back to the Red Raiders, who went 61 yards to score a touchdown to take a 10-7 lead … added two quarterback hurries on BYU’s first drive of the second half, including one on a key third-down stop that forced a failed field goal attempt by the Cougars.Â
- Put together a solid defensive performance in the College Football Playoff Quarterfinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl versus Oregon (1/1) … finished one tackle off his career high with five stops, including a solo sack … found Oregon quarterback Dante Moore for a 10-yard loss on first down to start the final drive of the first quarter, eventually leading to a 3-and-out and a punt.Â
- POSTSEASON ALL-STAR GAMES: one of five Red Raiders selected to play in the prestigious Panini Senior Bowl … was part of the National Team for the weeklong event, which is annually attended by all 32 NFL teams.Â
- NFL SCOUTING COMBINE: one of a school-record eight Red Raiders to receive an invitation to the NFL Scouting Combine.
PRIOR TO TEXAS TECH
- Arrived at Texas Tech after spending time at three different programs in Auburn (2020-21), USC (2022-23) and then Georgia Tech (2024) … considered one of the top rush end prospects out of the transfer portal before signing with the Red Raiders … the 2025 campaign will be his sixth year on a college campus as a 2020 high school graduate. Â
- Appeared in 36 games with 14 starts over his collegiate career, combining to make 74 tackles (35 solo) during that span, including 15.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks … has also forced two fumbles and recorded one interception over his career, which all came during the 2024 campaign at Georgia Tech … played in 12 games each of the last two seasons, combining for 54 of his tackles during that span as well as 12.5 tackles for loss and all 6.5 of his career sacks.
- Regarded as one of the most-disruptive rush ends in college football … credited with 69 total pressures (7 sacks, 13 quarterback hits, 49 hurries) throughout his college career by Pro Football Focus … arrived in Lubbock having played in 1,047 defensive snaps over his career per PFF.
- Reunited with two former teammates upon his arrival at Texas Tech in defensive lineman Lee Hunter and running back Quinten Joyner … teammates at Auburn in 2021 with Hunter, who was a true freshman at the time … time with Joyner came at USC in 2023 when he was also a true freshman.
- 2024 SEASON (JUNIOR at GEORGIA TECH): started in all 12 regular-season games during his lone season back in his home state of Georgia … led the team in tackles for loss with 6.5 that resulted in a total of 26 yards lost ... tied for the second-most sacks on the team with 2.5 for a loss of 16 yards ... had 34 tackles overall with 18 being solo stops to go along with four quarterback hurries, two forced fumbles and an interception.
- Appeared in a career-high 485 defensive snaps on the season per PFF … credited with 32 total pressures by PFF, the most in his career to that point … pressures were the result of three sacks, six quarterback hits and 23 additional hurries … graded out at 78.4 overall, which led the Georgia Tech defense … owned the second-best coverage grade (92.5) in the FBS among edge rushers according to PFF.
- Played in the week 0 Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin, Ireland versus Florida State (8/24) ... registered three tackles, including a solo tackle for loss in the win over the Seminoles in his Yellow Jacket debut ... had four tackles in each of the next three games against Georgia State (8/31), Syracuse (9/7) and VMI (9/14).
- Recorded a season-high five tackles and a season-high 2.0 tackles for loss on the road at Louisville (9/21) ... registered two tackles at home against Duke (10/5) ... .served as a team captain for the Yellow Jackets' game versus North Carolina (10/12), making three stops, including a solo tackle for loss … followed with two stops in a neutral site contest against Notre Dame (10/19).
- Posted Georgia Tech's single-game high for sacks during the 2024 season with 1.5 versus Virginia Tech (10/26) as part of four tackles overall ... had two tackles against Miami (11/9) and one stop against N.C. State (11/21) ... was not credited with a tackle in the Yellow Jackets' eight-overtime thriller versus Georgia (11/29) but led the team in total pressures of the passer with four according to PFF.
- 2023 SEASON (REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE at USC): returned from injury to play in 12 of 13 games as a redshirt sophomore … missed only a late-season Pac-12 contest against Washington … totaled 20 tackles overall (11 solo), including an impressive 6.0 for loss and 4.0 sacks … ranked third on the team in total sacks and fifth overall for tackles for loss … played in 277 defensive snaps that season per PFF, creating 14 total pressures in the process (four sacks, two quarterback hits and eight hurries) … received a 77.3 grade as a tackler and a 75.7 grade as a pass rusher by the publication.
- Best performance of the season came against Arizona State (9/23) with five tackles, which included 2.0 sacks … finished tied for the USC single-game high for sacks on the season … followed with another sack the next week against Colorado (9/30) and then his final one of the season against Utah (10/21) … all 6.0 of his tackles for loss came during Pac-12 play with 4.5 coming over a four-game stretch that began with Stanford (9/9) and continued against Arizona State, Colorado and Arizona (10/7).
- 2022 SEASON (SOPHOMORE at USC): redshirt season … claimed the starting job at rush end out of preseason camp, only to be limited to only two games – both starts – due to injury … made his first career start in the season-opening win over Rice (9/3) and was back in the starting lineup again the next week versus Stanford (9/1) … sustained a season-ending shoulder injury versus the Cardinal ... did not record any statistics prior to his injury. Â
- 2021 SEASON (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN at AUBURN): appeared in nine games as a redshirt freshman at Auburn ... made 19 tackles on the season (6 solo), including 3.0 that went for a loss … notched a season high of four tackles in two different games against Alabama State (9/11) at Arkansas (10/16) … had a tackle for loss in both wins as well as 1.5 against Penn State (9/18).
- 2020 SEASON (FRESHMAN at AUBURN): appeared in only one game as a true freshman, which came in a 48-11 rout of LSU (10/31) … did not record any statistics … retained season of eligibility due to COVID-19 pandemic ... enrolled in the spring of 2020 after graduating early.

- Attended Dublin High School in his hometown of Dublin, Ga. … departed Dublin as the school record holder for sacks after leading the Fighting Irish to the 2019 Class 2A state title as a senior … among the top prospects from Georgia for the 2020 class.
- Named a first team MaxPreps Small Schools All-American and the Georgia Class 2A Defensive Player of the Year following his senior season in 2019 ... amassed 27.0 tackles for loss, 16.0 sacks, two forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception that was returned 60 yards for a touchdown as a senior alone … also caught two passes for 112 yards as a wide receiver and returned a kickoff 43 yards that season.
- Rated as a four-star prospect by both 247Sports and ESPN ... was a three-star recruit by Rivals … tabbed the No. 24 outside linebacker in the nation by 247Sports and No. 35 overall prospect in the state of Georgia ... ranked as high as No. 32 among Georgia recruits by ESPN … chose to attend Auburn over offers from Florida, Tennessee, Miami, South Carolina, Kentucky, Arizona State, Georgia Tech and Ole Miss, among others.
