Lady Raiders to compete at ACU Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech women's tennis team continues their fall slate as they head to Abilene, Texas for the ACU Invitational on Sept. 26-28.
The four Lady Raiders competing this weekend are Ella Brownback, Elena Daskalova, Kseniia Logvin and Arina Oreshchenkova. Brownback leads the team with five singles and doubles wins. Last week at the ITA Bedford Cup tournament, Brownback reached the quarterfinals in both singles and doubles of her flight.
In addition, Logvin played in her first collegiate competition and won the consolation draw of her singles flight. Both Logvin and Brownback led the way there with three singles wins apiece. Daskalova also had a great showing as she recorded two singles wins and three doubles wins with teammate Logvin. They would go on to win the consolation doubles draw in their flight. This will be Oreshchenkova's first tournament in the fall.
Scoring Format
Singles will two out of three sets with no ad scoring and a 10 point tiebreaker for first round and consolation. Second round main draw and finals matches will be a full third set. Doubles will be a six-game set with no ad scoring. The tournament page and draws can be found here.
