LUBBOCK, Texas – After aiding the No. 17 Texas Tech Lady Raiders to wins at West Virginia and Cincinnati, senior Bailey Maupin earned the first Big 12 Player of the Week honor of her career announced by the league office on Monday afternoon. With Tech's wins this week, it marked the team's first victory in Morgantown since Jan. 14, 2015 and only the third time in program history winning in Mountaineer territory. It also marks the first win for Tech against Cincinnati in program history, as the Lady Raiders were previously 0-3 all-time against the Bearcats. In addition, Texas Tech posted back-to-back road wins in conference play, which hasn't been done since the 2004-05 season. Tech remains the only undefeated team in conference play at 5-0 and is also one of three teams nationally to not lose a game yet at 18-0 overall.
