Texas Tech announces fan information for College Gameday

Free admission is offered to ESPN’s College Gameday broadcast Saturday with doors opening at 8 a.m.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech announced Friday additional fan information ahead of ESPN's College Gameday broadcast Saturday and the top-15 showdown between the Red Raiders and Houston.
ESPN will air College Gameday from 9-10 a.m. Saturday at center court inside United Supermarkets Arena ahead of the now 1 p.m. tip against Houston.Â
Doors will now open at 8 a.m. Saturday with free admission offered for all fans who want to attend the College Gameday broadcast. After ESPN goes off the air, Texas Tech will clear the lower bowl and offer any fans who want to remain in the arena the opportunity to stay by scanning their game ticket on the concourse. Fans without a ticket to the Houston game will be asked to leave the arena.
Students will also be permitted to remain inside United Supermarkets Arena following the conclusion of College Gameday. Texas Tech will offer open seating during the College Gameday broadcast on a first-come, first-served basis. Students will be asked to move into the reserved student sections immediately following the pregame show.
With potential icy conditions expected overnight, fans are encouraged to arrive early Saturday for easy access. Free parking will be available for College Gameday in the west commuter lot. Texas Tech will monitor the north and south lots to United Supermarkets Arena with only season ticket holders with paid parking permits allowed to enter those locations.
Texas Tech will return to its normal parking procedures once College Gameday goes off the air. Fans are reminded parking is available in the S-1 lot at the John Walker Soccer Complex with roundtrip transportation provided via Citibus prior to every home men's basketball game, including Saturday's tilt between the No. 6 Cougars and 12th-ranked Red Raiders.
ESPN's College Gameday is hosted by Rece Davis, who is joined on set by analysts Jay Bilas, Andraya Carter, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams to break down the top games each Saturday across the nation. The basketball version of the show is returning to Lubbock for the second time in history and first time since 2018. Texas Tech also hosted College Gameday this past football season ahead of the Red Raiders' victory over BYU in November. Â
