The senior earns his first career indoor weekly honor

IRVING, Texas – Senior 400m sprinter Shaemar Uter was named the Big 12 Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Wednesday afternoon. The weekly honor is the first of his career.

Uter opened his season in the open 400m dropping a time of 45.54 to lower his previous school record of 45.59. Prior to this race, his season debut came at the Razorback Invitational where he only ran the first leg of the 4x400 relay.

When it comes to Tech's all-time top 10 list, Uter owns eight times, including the top 3.
