Tech hosts senior day against Colorado

LUBBOCK, Texas – The No. 30 Texas Tech Lady Raiders host the No. 61 Colorado Buffaloes for senior day on Saturday at 12 p.m. at the McLeod Tennis Center.
Texas Tech (13-7, 4-4 Big 12) is led in dual singles wins by Hailey Murphy with an 11-4 record, nine of those wins coming at court one. Just behind her is Mariia Hlahola with eight wins and Havana Kadi with seven. In dual doubles, the No. 38-ranked tandem of Yekaterina Dmitrichenko and Murphy lead the team with a 16-3 record at the top court. The duo of Hlahola and Elena Daskalova are next with a 7-3 record, all at line two.
Scouting the Opponent
The No. 61 Colorado Buffaloes are 10-8 overall and 2-6 in Big 12 play so far. The Buffs are on a four-match losing streak after dropping contests to Utah, BYU, Houston and UCF. Colorado has key wins over Oklahoma State, Iowa State and Minnesota. In dual singles, the Buffaloes are led by Lera Alexin with 10 wins, as six of those came at court four. Just behind her are both No. 120-ranked Pia Rebec and Rixt van der Werff with eight wins each. In dual doubles, the team of Alexin and van der Werff lead the way with eight wins, the majority coming at line two.
