REDSHIRT FRESHMAN SEASON (2019-20)
Savrasov played in 21 games during his redshirt freshman season where he averaged 1.1 points and 1.0 rebounds per game… He scored a career-high with six points in a non-conference game against Creighton and then in Big 12 play against TCU where he hit two 3-pointers in each… Savrasov finished the season shooting 6-for-18 on 3-pointers… He had a career-best five rebounds in the second game of the season against Bethune-Cookman and had four in the home win over Oklahoma State to begin the conference schedule… Savrasov was named to the Academic All-Big 12 Team.
2018-19: Redshirt season.
PRIOR TO TECH: Savrasov played with BC Zenith Saint Petersburg before moving to Lubbock to start his collegiate career... He also played in the U18 European Championship as a 17-year-old for Russia where he averaged 8.0 points and 5.6 rebounds in seven games… He had a tournament-high 18 points against Slovakia where he had three 3-pointers and also had 10 points and four assists in the round of 16 against Italy.
PERSONAL: Son of Marina and Vyacheslav Savrasov. Has two siblings, Stefania and Ilya. His father was a professional volleyball player in Russia… Majoring in human science… Chose Texas Tech over Arizona State and Purdue. Born Nov. 30. Majoring in Human Science.
