Oliver Houston IV is in his first full season as the Texas Tech Strength and Conditioning Assistant.
A two-sport athlete at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor, Houston is in his second stint with the Red Raiders after working as an intern in 2018. He returned to Lubbock midway through the 2019-20 season to work with John Reilly and the Red Raiders.
A Garland, Texas native, Houston worked as a sport performance coach at the Sports Performance Center at The Star from 2018-20 following his internship at Tech. He also had an internship with the Dallas Mavericks as an Athletic Performance Intern from 2016-17.
Houston helped the UMHB football team to four straight American Southwest Conference titles as a tight end for the Cru and would play for the basketball team during the 2015-16. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2016. Â
