Duncan Bacon is in his first season as a Texas Tech graduate assistant under head coach Grant McCasland.
An Abilene, Texas native, Bacon graduated from Abilene Christian University and worked one season at Harding University as a graduate assistant. He was a student assistant for the ACU basketball program for four seasons, helping the Wildcats earn a Southland Conference Championship and a NCAA Tournament victory over Texas in 2021. Last season, Harding reached its first conference tournament in seven seasons during the 2023-24 season.
Bacon earned first team all-district honors while playing at Abilene Wylie High School and helped the team reach the regional finals. He earned his bachelor’s degree in 2022 from ACU and is currently enrolled in the Texas Tech Sports Management program where he is pursuing his master’s degree.
