Kentrell Garnett is in his second season with the Texas Tech basketball program where he works as a Coaching Assistant.
A Donaldsonville, Louisiana native, Garnett joined the Red Raider program at playing at Louisiana where he established a new program record by playing 153 games and is fourth in Rajin Cajun history with 249 made 3-pointers. Garnett works with the Texas Tech coaching staff and players in a variety of roles in his position as a Coaching Assistant.
Originally starting as a walk-on, Garnett earned a scholarship after his freshman season and went on to score 1,096 career points. As a senior, Garnett averaged 10.1 points per game and led the team with 67 made 3-pointers. Garnett was a four-year letterwinner and graduated from Catholic High School in Baton Rouge where he averaged 21 points per game and led his team to the state semifinals.
