SENIOR (2019-20)
Led the way for the Red Raiders in his shortened senior season and tallied five victories over ranked opponents … Was also a frequent member of the ITA national rankings, reaching a season-best mark of No. 48 in the final rankings of the 2020 campaign … Began the fall session with three wins at the Battle in the Bay in San Francisco … Reached the round of 32 at the ITA Texas Regionals in Waco … Took down his first ranked opponent of the season in a battle with No. 78 Andrew Fenty of No. 20 Michigan at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend in Champaign, Illinois, where he won 7-5, 3-6, 7-6 (Jan. 24) … Defeated No. 49 Ewan Moore of Tulane at a 3-6, 6-3, 6-1 clip in Starkville (Feb. 8) … Followed with another ranked takedown of No. 27 Giovanni Oradini of No. 20 Mississippi State (Feb. 9) … Rattled off three-straight victories, beginning with a win against No. 27 Middle Tennessee (Feb. 22) … Notched a win against Fresno State (Feb. 23) before battling to a 7-6, 6-3 victory over No. 56 Kody Pearson of Tulsa in Lubbock (Feb. 28) … Rounded out the year with his highest-ranked win against No. 19 Gabriel Decamps of No. 33 UCF at the McLeod Tennis Center by a margin of 6-1, 7-6 (March 6) … Began the dual match season by playing with doubles partner and fellow All-American Bjorn Thomson before finishing the year with freshman Reed Collier … Picked up 13 wins overall on the doubles side, including a 6-4 takedown of the No. 16-ranked duo from Iowa to begin the spring (Jan. 16) … Announced he would use his extra year of eligibility and return to the Red Raiders for the 2020-21 campaign.
JUNIOR (2018-19)
Wynn impressed in his first season as a Red Raider, as he led the team with a 16-8 mark in dual match action, including three wins over ranked opponents … Was consistently ranked in the top-100 national individual rankings while earning All-Big 12 Second Team nods for his singles play … After seeing limited singles action during the fall, Wynn would begin the home schedule of dual match play with a three-match winning streak, including wins over Lamar, New Mexico and on the road at No. 19 Florida State (Jan. 20, Jan. 26) … Beginning in the month of February, Wynn put together an imposing stretch where he would defeat 12 of his next 13 opponents, all at the secondary singles position … Assisted in the Red Raiders’ upset bid of No. 14 Texas A&M by defeating Valentin Vacherot in straight sets (Feb. 1) … Followed with a win over no. 66 Giovanni Oradini of No. 3 Mississippi State by a count of 6-4, 3-6, 6-1 in Lubbock (Feb. 8) … Defeated No. 42 Luis Erlenbusch of No. 19 Tulane in impressive fashion at 6-1, 6-2 (Feb. 10) … Notched a win over No. 122 Filip Malbasic of No. 38 Arizona in three sets (Feb. 22) … Dropped a match against No. 16 Alabama (Feb. 23) before bouncing back with an eight-match winning streak … Defeated opponents from Iowa, Nebraska, Indiana and No. 45 Northwestern (March 3, March 10) … Also picked up a win against No. 122 Alan Rubio at No. 33 UCF in straight sets (March 14) … Rounded out non-conference play with straight-set wins over No. 45 Dartmouth, Utah State and Rice (March 22-23) … Aided in Tech’s upset bid over No. 6 Baylor on senior night with a 6-2, 6-2 thrashing of No. 22 Johannes Schretter on court one (April 14) … Made his mark in doubles play with redshirt junior Bjorn Thomson, as the pair notched 29 wins, including 15 in dual match play and six against ranked opponents … Wynn and Thomson were a staple in the national rankings, as the two were ranked in the top-10 in the final eight national polls, while earning All-Big 12 First Team honors for their efforts on the court … Started their year by going 3-0 in Cambridge at the Harvard Chowder Fest (Sept. 14-16), followed by a pair of wins at the ITA All-American Championships (Oct. 1-2) … Registered four victories at the 2018 ITA Texas Regionals, including wins over conference foes Baylor and Texas (Oct. 19-22) … Made an impressive run at the ITA Fall Nationals (Nov. 7-11) … Defeated opponents from Nevada, San Diego, Arizona State and Cal to reach the final round of the Fall Nationals, where they would ultimately fall, becoming the runner-up … Snagged wins over the No. 1 duos of No. 18 Tennessee and No. 14 Texas A&M (Jan. 26-27) … Defeated No. 34 Nuno Borges and Strahinja Rakic of No. 3 Mississippi State at home by a 6-4 margin (Feb. 8) … Collected two more wins against No. 19 Tulane and No. 49 Sumit Sarkar and Eric Rutledge of Rice ... Picked up another win against Rutledge and Sarkar on the road at Rice to round out the non-conference schedule … Defeated No. 6 Reese Stalder and Bertus Kruger by a score of 6-4 in Fort Worth against No. 9 TCU (March 31) … Fought their way to a win against Oklahoma before taking down the No. 1 ranked doubles team of Sven Lah and Jimmy Bendeck of No. 6 Baylor at 6-2 … Took their last match of the year against No. 64 Anders Holm and N. Wynn was named a two-time All-ACC Third-Team selection at Louisville where he made back-to-back appearances at the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Doubles Championships … Captured 67 singles victories and 60 doubles wins during his freshman and sophomore seasons … Saw action mostly at the No. 1 doubles position and court two in singles … Been a fixture in the ITA doubles rankings over the last two seasons climbing as high as No. 6 entering the 2018 dual match season … Also spent nine weeks in the ITA singles rankings and reached No. 90 on two occasions in 2018 … A two-time All-ACC Academic Honor Roll pick.
