Lucas Sosebee is the Strength & Conditioning Coordinator for Olympic Sports at Texas Tech University. Sosebee began his strength and conditioning career as an undergraduate intern in Kinesiology at Estacado High School in Lubbock, Texas. He began his collegiate strength and conditioning career in 2020 as a Graduate Assistant Intern in Kinesiology and was promoted to Coordinator in the Fall of 2021 after completion of his M.S. in Kinesiology. He assisted in the implementation/programming for multiple teams including Tennis, Golf, Track and Field, and Softball while ranking through the program.
Sosebee became the head strength and conditioning coach of the Texas Tech Men’s Tennis program in 2021. During his tenure at Texas Tech, Sosebee has had the opportunity to grow and learn from Master Strength Coaches Tory Stephens and Katie Munger.
Sosebee has earned his SCCC certification through the CSCCa, as well as the CSCS certification through the NSCA.
Outside of coaching, Sosebee has been a competitive powerlifter at the local, state, collegiate, and national level where he has earned top honors and a few state records over his career. Sosebee also has an amazing wife and two dogs that support him as he grows as a strength and conditioning coach.
