Competed in seven meets... in his first outdoor meet of the season, Welch captured the triple jump title at the Texas Relays... finished 4th in the triple jump at the Mt. SAC Relays... placed 2nd in the triple jump at the Big 12 Championships and 9th in the long jump... registered his outdoor PB in the triple jump at the NCAA West Regionals with a mark of 16.46m (54-0)... capped off his season placing 6th at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, a 1st Team All-American.
