Alan Quinn joined the Texas Tech track and field staff, where he assists in the development of the Red Raider and Lady Raider sprinters and hurdlers, in 2014.
Quinn assisted Coach Miller in bringing home eight All-American honors between the indoor and outdoor seasons, in 2014.
Quinn arrived at Texas Tech following a highly successful stint at Langston University where he served as the sprints and hurdles coach as well as the program's recruiting coordinator for nine seasons. During his tenure at Langston, Quinn coached five NAIA National Champions and a National Champion relay team. Quinn also helped coach 33 All-American athletes and 55 Red River Athletic Conference Champions.
Quinn's mark was left on the Langston program as his athletes combined to set 24 school records and eight Red River Athletic Conference records.
In 2011, Quinn was nominated for and attended the USA Track and Field Emerging Elite Coaches Camp in Chula Vista, Calif. Quinn is also certified by USA Track and Field Level I Instructor and a USA Track and Field Level II Coach in the sprints, hurdles, relays, endurance, jumps and throws.
