Reeves comes home to Lubbock for her first season as the Texas Tech women's basketball graduate assistant after spending her collegiate career at Nebraska under head coach Connie Yori.
Reeves spent three seasons in Lincoln but had to end her career early after several knee surgeries. She ended her career with 25 games played, hitting 39 percent from the field and 52 percent from 3-point range while scoring 33 points.
She played high school basketball at nearby Trinity Christian helping the Lady Lions to a 96-19 overall record while earning TAPPS District 1-4A co-MVP honors in her sophomore year (2005-06). She helped lead Trinity Christian to two TAPPS 4A state championships in 2005 and 2006 as well as a fifth straight appearance in 2007 - its first as a TAPPS 5A school.
Reeves is the daughter of Ron and Nancy Reeves who live in Lubbock. Ron Reeves was a four-year starter at quarterback for Texas Tech from 1978-81 and was drafted by the Houston Oilers in 1982. Ron was inducted into the Texas Tech Hall of Honor in 2007.
