Monique Whaley-Briggs joins the Lady Raider staff as a graduate assistant leading into the 2018-19 season.
Prior to arriving at Tech, Whaley-Briggs spent a year as the Warren County High School Strength and Conditioning coach in Virginia. She worked with football, boys basketball, girls basketball, tennis, cross country, soccer, golf and volleyball student-athletes. Whaley-Briggs was also an athletic trainer for Mariah Parham Health during the same year.
During the summer, Whaley-Briggs was an intern with Strength and Conditioning Coach Ralph Petrella and the Lady Raider basketball team. During her internship, she helped with all aspects of Petrella's progamming.
Whaley-Briggs served as a student athletic trainer at Duke University with the field hockey, men's track, swimming & diving and wrestling teams during her final year of college.
Whaley-Briggs graduated from North Carolina Central in May 2017 with a bachelor's in athletic training.
