Had a storied career at Chelsea High School where she was a four-year letter winner... amassed 1,941 kills, 336 aces and 986 digs in her time there as she finished with the most kills and aces in school history... her final season she finished with 764 kills on a .315 hitting percentage... helped her team to an Alabama 6A State Final Four appearance as they won the Alabama 6A South Regional and Area 8 Championship on the way... was an AVCA Second Team All-American and All-Region selection as well as being named the Kiwanis Club of Birmingham Volleyball Player of the Year... played club volleyball for Munciana Bama Elite.

Daughter Shane and Gretta Buchanan... plans to major Kinesiology... can play the piano.
