Women's Golf inches up to seventh in McGuire Invitational

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Red Raiders are in seventh place as they come to the final round of play in the Comcast-Dick McGuire Invitational. The Raiders have shot a combined score of (312) on Thursday and (302) today for a total of (614) on the 73-par University of New Mexico Championship Golf Course.

Leading the Raiders is sophomore Stephanie Dukes with a 75, tying her for 31st. Freshman Jackie Ey shot a 77, tying her for 35th, sophomore Melanie Hunt shot a 75, tying her for 46th, Junior Jennifer Newhouse shot an 81 and Priscillia Hunt shot a 75 to put them both tied for 55th. In individual play Tamara Munsch shot a 79, tying her for 87th.

Pepperdine University took the lead from Arizona today with a combined score of 589. The Raiders will look to score big tomorrow in the final round with an 8 a.m. start.
