TEXAS TECH

TEXAS TECH NCAA TOURNAMENT NOTES
- Improved to 17-18 all-time in the NCAA Tournament (10th appearance).
- Recorded its first-ever shutout in 35 all-time games in the NCAA Tournament.
- The shutout marked the first time Miami (Fla.) has been shutout in the NCAA Tournament since 1995 (Texas A&M, 4-0 - Coral Gables Regional).
- Two runs allowed during its opening two games at the NCAA Tournament is its fewest in school history... previous mark was six runs in 2000 at the Houston Regional.
- Earned its fifth all-time win in the NCAA Tournament against a ranked opponent - its first since 2001 (Fullerton Regional - at No. 1 Cal State Fullerton, W, 11-5).
- Marked the third time in school history to win the opening two games an NCAA Regional Tournament (1995, 1999, 2014).
- Improved to 6-4 in NCAA Tournament second-round games... marked its first second-round win in the NCAA Tournament since Fullerton Regional in 2001 (vs. Temple - W, 14-3).
- Improved to 9-8 as a 2-seed in the NCAA Tournament... this season marks the fifth time Tech has been a No. 2 seed in a regional (has been a 2-seed more often than any other seed).
- Earned its first-ever NCAA Tournament win over Miami (Fla.)... is now 1-1 against Miami in the NCAA Tournament (1998 Atlantic I Miami Regional, L, 0-13).
- Improved to 3-2 in games played in a regional in the state of Florida... all five games have been played in Miami Regionals (1998 - 3 games... 2014 - 2 games).
- Second-year head coach Tim Tadlock is 2-0 in NCAA Tournament games.

LHP Dylan Dusek (W, 8.0 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 SO - 103 Pitches)
- Improved to 7-0 on the season... seven wins is a freshman school record.
- Became the first Texas Tech freshman in school history to make a start in an NCAA Tournament game.
- Led the Red Raiders to their first-ever shutout in NCAA Tournament history.
- Texas Tech is now 12-1 during his 13 starts this season.
- Has 18.2 consecutive scoreless innings dating back to May 6 - streak spans starts against Dallas Baptist (4.0 IP, 0 R), West Virginia (6.2 IP, 0 R) and No. 3 Miami (Fla.) (8.0 IP, 0 R).
