DES MOINES, Iowa -- Texas Tech's Evans Tuitoek placed 11th in the men's 5,000 meters at the 106th-annual Drake Relays, on Thursday night.

Tuitoek ran a 14:24.70 tonight, in what was his first 5,000-meter race this season. His outdoor collegiate best is a 14:05.35 he ran at the 2014 Mt. SAC Relays.

Texas Tech track & field will be back in action in Des Moines tomorrow morning, with running events starting at 8 a.m., and field events getting underway at 8:30 a.m.
