Lady Raiders Close Out Non-Conference Action Thursday

Texas Tech to host Incarnate Word, Thursday at 2 p.m.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Lady Raider Basketball will close out the 2017 non-conference slate on Thursday against Incarnate Word.

Tech (5-5) enters the week on a two-game win streak as Tech defeated UT-Rio Grande Valley, 80-64, on Sunday during the Throwback game.

Tech has scored 80+ points in back-to-back games and defeated both opponents by 15+ points.

Four Lady Raiders scored double-digit points against the Vaqueros. Senior Jada Terry led the team with 21 points while junior Zuri Sanders set a new season-best 13 rebounds and six assists during the game.

Incarnate Word (1-9) is on a six-game losing streak entering the week. The Cardinals dropped a 98-67 decision to Houston on Monday. Freshman Sydnee Wynn and sophomore Charmaine McBride were the Cardinals' leading scorers with 13 points each.

Senior Jada Terry is shooting 73.5 percent from the field this season. Her average tops the Big 12 and the nation.
