Lady Raiders to Face No. 9/9 Texas on Saturday

LUBBOCK, Texas – Lady Raider Basketball returns to the United Supermarkets Arena on Saturday to host No. 9/9 Texas for the first of two games this season.

This is the 99th meeting between the two schools and the 44th since the Big 12 began. Texas leads the all-time series 69-29 and has a 23-17 advantage when playing in Lubbock. The two have been conference foes since the Southwest Conference.
In the last meeting, the Longhorns defeated Tech, 77-57, in Lubbock to complete the season sweep over the Lady Raiders.
The Last time the Lady Raiders defeated the Longhorns was on Feb. 17, 2013, when the Lady Raiders completed the season sweep with a 69-62 victory in the United Supermarkets Arena.
The Lady Raiders snapped a six game losing streak with a 68-56 win over Kansas on Wednesday night. It was the first Big 12 win of the season and the first road win since the 2015-16 season.
Texas enters the matchup after falling to No. 1/1 UConn, 71-75.
