- This is the 99th meeting between the two schools and the 44th since the Big 12 began. Texas leads the all-time series 69-29 and has a 23-17 advantage when playing in Lubbock. The two have been conference foes since the Southwest Conference.
- In the last meeting, the Longhorns defeated Tech, 77-57, in Lubbock to complete the season sweep over the Lady Raiders.
