Lady Raiders Open Season Against Jacksonville State

LUBBOCK, Texas – A new era of Lady Raider Basketball is set to begin on Friday, Nov. 9, as Texas Tech hosts Jacksonville State for the 2018-19 season opener. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.

Fans can purchase reserved tickets to Friday's game for $3 using the promo code OPENER18 online at TexasTech.com. Following the game, fans can move to general admission seating at the north end of the arena for the Red Raider Basketball game against Mississippi Valley State starting at 8 p.m.

This is the first meeting between the two schools.
This game marks the first under Head Coach Marlene Stollings. She was named the seventh head coach of Lady Raider Basketball on April 11, 2018. She spent the last four seasons at the University of Minnesota where she led the Golden Gophers to two NCAA Tournament appearances and three 20-win seasons.
Jacksonville State opened the 2018-19 season on Tuesday with a 62-31 victory at Florida A&M.
The Lady Raiders have a 39-4 record all-time in home openers.
When playing the season opener at home, Texas Tech is 20-3 all-time against its opponents.
