ABOUT THE LADY RAIDERS
Winners of eight in a row to open the 2019-20 campaign, the Lady Raiders are looking to extend their hot streak heading into Friday's primetime showdown with Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Texas Tech is armed with a trio of returners from a season ago paired with a talented cast of newcomers to lead the team to its best start to a season in eight years.

Brittany Brewer is off to an outstanding start to her senior season, ranking in the top five of the conference in scoring and rebounding, and leading the nation in blocks per game at a 5.5 clip. Sophomore point guard Chrislyn Carr leads the Big 12 in assists per game, while junior two-way guard Sydney Goodson is averaging 10.9 points, 6.4 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game. Those three lead a squad with six players averaging double-figure scoring. That group also includes freshman standout Alexis Tucker, juco transfer Jo'Nah Johnson and UConn transfer Lexi Gordon, who just put up 16 points in her second Tech appearance on Tuesday.

EYEING THE OPPONENT
Arkansas-Pine Bluff (0-8) is coming off a loss at Wichita State earlier this week heading into Friday's contest. The Lady Lions have matched up with four Power Five schools so far this season, incuding Illinois, Tennessee, Iowa State and Washington State, and have yet to play a home game this year. Junior guard Kyeonia Harris leads the Lady Lions in scoring, assists and steals at 9.3 points, 3.4 assists and 2.4 steals per game. Head coach Dawn Brown is in her first season at the helm of the Pine Bluff program.
