LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team returns home this Wednesday night for a conference showdown with the Oklahoma Sooners. The Lady Raiders and Sooners tip off at 7 p.m. at United Supermarkets Arena. The game is set to be streamed on TexasTech.TV

ABOUT THE LADY RAIDERS
Coming off a pair of tough losses last week to Kansas and Texas, the Lady Raiders look to get back on track in Lawrence. Led by four players averaging double-figure scoring, Texas Tech is 12-4 heading into the fifth game of conference play.

Senior Brittany Brewer leads Texas Tech, not only the national leader in blocks with 77 so far this season, but also the team leader in scoring (15.3 ppg) and rebounding (10.4 rpg). Reigning Big 12 Freshman of the Year Chrislyn Carr has been big for Tech as well in her sophomore season, having scored double digits in 12 of her last 14 appearances. UConn transfer Lexi Gordon has been a nice addition through seven games, tallying off a 15-point, 15-rebound double-double at TCU last week. Alexis Tucker has been one of the best freshmen in the country this season as well, ranking second among Big 12 freshmen in scoring and rebounding.

EYEING THE OPPONENT
The Oklahoma Sooners (10-7, 3-2 Big 12) dropped their first loss in four games last Sunday at home to TCU, 82-63, after wins over Oklahoma State, Iowa State and at No. 17 West Virginia. Sophomore Taylor Robertson is one of the top shooters in the country, ranking fifth nationally at 47.1 percent from behind the arc and a nation-leading 5.24 three-pointers per game average. The Sooners can score the ball well, averaging 77.4 points per game to rank 19th in the country and third in the Big 12. Head coach Sherri Coale is in her 24th season in Norman.
