LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team returns home to the friendly confines of United Supermarkets Arena on Saturday afternoon to face off with Oklahoma State at 3 p.m. The game will be televised on Fox Sports Southwest. The game marks the Lady Raider program's Alumni Game, where former Lady Raiders will be honored on the court at halftime.

ABOUT THE LADY RAIDERS
The Lady Raiders enter the weekend coming off a by week that followed an impressive performance at No. 1/2 Baylor and an overtime win over Oklahoma. Just over halfway into the season, Texas Tech sits only one victory behind their final win total from a season ago.

Second-year Lady Raider head coach Marlene Stollings boasts a deep team. Led by Brittany Brewer, who leads the nation in blocks and is averaging a double-double, and 2019 Big 12 Freshman of the Year Chrislyn Carr, Texas Tech has already experienced plenty of success in 2020 which the team will look to build on over the final months of the season. The Lady Raiders finished the nonconference schedule undefeated for the first time in eight seasons at 11-0. Additionally, led by 29 points from Andrayah Adams, Tech picked up its first overtime win in four years last week.

EYEING THE OPPONENT
The Oklahoma State Cowgirls (12-8, 3-5) come into Saturday's game looking to bounce back from a pair of tight home losses to TCU and Texas that followed a road victory over then-No. 25 West Virginia. The Cowgirls are led by Vivian Gray, who is averaging 19.8 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. Junior Natasha Mack also ranks top 10 in the nation in blocks per game (3.35), rebounds per game (11.9) and double-doubles (12). As a team, the Cowgirls take care of the ball, ranking first in the Big 12 in fewest turnovers per game at 12.8. Oklahoma State is led by Jim Littell, who is in his ninth season in Stillwater.

The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team put up an outstanding effort against No. 1/2 Baylor on Saturday afternoon, but came up short of upsetting the defending national champions, 87-79 at the Ferrell Center. The Lady Raiders' 79 points were the most anyone had scored on the Bears all season.

The Lady Raiders were led by a trio of double-digit scorers, led by senior Brittany Brewer with a season high 24 on 10-of-17 shooting to go along with nine rebounds and a block.

Lexi Gordon tied her career high in threes with four on her way to an 18-point outing, paired with five rebounds and two assists. Sophomore point guard Chrislyn Carr recorded 16 points, seven rebounds and a season-high four steals.

The Lady Raiders finished with 12 triples--just two short of tying the school record. It was the most three's allowed by Baylor this season.
