ABOUT THE LADY RAIDERS
The Lady Raiders (16-10, 5-10 Big 12) look to rebound from a tough loss at Oklahoma State on Wednesday that followed the program's first road win over Iowa State in 18 years last weekend which gave the team 16 wins for the first time in seven years.
Â
Second-year Lady Raider head coach Marlene Stollings boasts a deep team. Led by All-America candidate Brittany Brewer, who ranks second in the nation in blocks and is averaging a double-double, and 2019 Big 12 Freshman of the Year Chrislyn Carr, Texas Tech has already experienced plenty of success in 2020 which the team will look to build on over the final month of the season. The Lady Raiders finished the nonconference schedule undefeated for the first time in eight seasons at 11-0. Additionally, Tech picked up its first overtime win in four years last month, knocking off Big 12 foe Oklahoma.
Â
EYEING THE OPPONENT
The TCU Horned Frogs (20-6, 11-4 Big 12) remain in second place in the Big 12 standings following a home loss to Texas earlier this week. TCU is ranked in the latest AP poll for the first time in two years. Coming off her second Big 12 Player of the Week honor, Lauren Heard leads TCU and ranks fifth in the Big 12 in points per game with a 17.6 average. Heard and Kianna Ray lead the conference in steals per game as well, with 2.19 per contest. The Horned Frogs are led by sixth-year head coach Raegan Pebley, who is 115-77 during her time in Fort Worth.

LADY RAIDER STORYLINES
- Last season, the Lady Raiders completed the second-biggest turnaround of any Power Five team, doubling their previous year's win total to 14. Tech has continued its impressive turnaround, surpassing last year's win total in just 22 games, and reaching 16 wins for the first time in seven years.
Â
- Senior Brittany Brewer was named one of the top 10 centers in the country last week as she was selected as one of 10 midseason candidates for the Lisa Leslie Award. In six games against other Leslie Award finalists this season, Brewer is averaging 21.5 pts, 9.5 rebs and 3.8 blks.
Â
- Coach Marlene is one of six active coaches to have five or more WNBA draft picks in the last five seasons
Â
