LUBBOCK, Texas. – The Texas Tech men's and women's cross country programs travel to Stillwater, Okla., for the Big 12 Championship meet Friday morning at the Greiner Family Cross Country Course hosted by Oklahoma State. Â
Â
The men's 8K race will commence at 10 a.m. as the women's 6K race will begin at 11 a.m.
The Championship will be broadcast a day later on Oct. 30 at 9:00 a.m. CT on Big 12 Now on ESPN+ and commentated by Lincoln Rose and Johanna Gretschel.Â
Â
"The Big 12 meet is the meet the team wants to do its best each year," said head coach Jon Murray. "The group has worked extremely hard and done their best to stay healthy to prepare for this championship. I anticipate some good races and if the weather allows, some personal bests this Friday. It is an exciting time of the year."
Â
Both Red Raider programs competed in four regular season meets this season, most recently at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Oct. 16. Halena Rahmaan paced the women's side coming in 18th overall with a personal record 6k time of 21:02.9. In each meet this season, she's etched a new PR time.
