LUBBOCK, Texas – The Lady Raider basketball team (2-0) will host Lamar Thursday night at 7 p.m. inside the United Supermarkets Arena.

The Lady Raiders are coming off a 62-44 home win over Weber State Tuesday night. Freshman Rhyle McKinney dropped a game and career-high 21 points off the bench, highlighted by a 3-for-5 shooting night from beyond the arc. The Tech defense held the Wildcats to a 28 percent shooting effort from the floor while forcing 18 turnovers.

Following her scoring outburst against Weber State, McKinney leads the Lady Raiders in scoring (18.0 PPG) and is shooting 67 percent (4-for-6) from 3-point territory. She is a perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line. Lexy Hightower and Ella Tofaeono are each averaging 11.5 PPG

Lamar makes its way to Lubbock sitting at 1-2 overall, most recently falling to Ole Miss on the road, 71-37. In three starts, Sabria Dean is averaging 16.3 PPG and shooting 52 percent from the floor. Meanwhile, Akasha Davis is dropping 14.7 PPG to go along with 7.3 rebounds. Lamar's lone win this season came against Howard Payne last Friday night (107-37).
