LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball team opens a two-game homestand this Wednesday when the team hosts No. 7 Baylor at United Supermarkets Arena. The Lady Raiders and Lady Bears tip off at 6 p.m. Wednesday on ESPN+.

The Baylor Lady Bears (14-2, 9-1 Big 12) have won six-straight games coming into Wedhesday's game against the Lady Raiders--most recently a 64-52 victory at Kansas State on Sunday. Baylor is led in scoring and rebounding by Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year NaLyssa Smith, who averages 17.6 points and 10.0 rebounds per game to rank top 10 in the conference in both categories. As a team, the Lady Bears lead the conference in scoring, rebounding, assists, steals and scoring defense, among other categories. Head coach Kim Mulkey is in her 20th season at helm of the Baylor program.

Hot starts in the first and second halves for Iowa State proved to be the difference in the game Saturday. The Lady Raiders hung tough, even outscoring the Cyclones in the fourth quarter, but it wouldn't be enough.

Texas Tech was led by two 20-point scorers in Vivian Gray and Lexi Gordon. Gray led all scorers with 26 points for her second 20-piece in as many games, and her 10th 20-point game of the season. Gray shot 10-of-18 from the field, and also had six rebounds, an assist and a block. Gordon had 23 points for her seventh game of 20-plus points this season. The senior had five rebounds, a pair of assists and a block as well.
