Texas Tech scraps trip to Norman, adds home meet to take place Saturday.
LUBBOCK, Texas – With beautiful weather set to hit Lubbock this weekend, Texas Tech has decided to forego its planned trip to Norman for the Oklahoma-hosted John Jacobs Invitational and opt instead to add a third home meet to the outdoor schedule.
Dubbed the Texas Tech Open the meet will take place Friday and Saturday at the Fuller Track & Field. Admission will be free for all fans.
The Texas Tech Open will begin Friday afternoon at the throws field with throwing events at 3 p.m. The discus will lead with javelin to follow. The throws field is located adjacent to the Museum of Texas Tech University.
Field events will begin Saturday's action at 3 p.m. Running events will start at 5 p.m. Live results will be available via PT Timing.
