RED RAIDER QUICK HITS
- Heaven Burton, Erin Edmoundson, Karli Hamilton, Kelcy Leach, Breanna Russell, Maddie Westmoreland, Olga Zamarripa and Missy Zoch will all be honored Saturday for Senior Day. Hamilton and Zoch are the squad's two 'super seniors' who chose to use their extra year of eligibility granted by the NCAA following the cancelation of the 2020 season. Should Hamilton play in all three games she will move into fourth place in program history in games played with 230, she currently sits in sixth place.
 - Missy Zoch (107) and Erin Edmoundson (106) sit at second and third in the Big 12 in strikeouts this season and combine for the most strikeouts of any duo in the conference with 213. They are one of just two duos in the league to accumulate 100+ strikeouts each. The dynamic duo also ranks in the top 100 in the nation in strikeouts with Zoch at 78 and Edmoundson at 79. Edmoundson sits in second place in program history with 495 strikeouts, five away from the 500 mark. Zoch sits in sixth with 326 strikeouts while at Tech but has accumulated over 600 in her career.
 - Tech (2-13) currently sits in sixth place in the Big 12 standings with one conference series remaining in the regular season. The Red Raiders are fighting for one of the six spots to make the Big 12 Championships in Oklahoma City May 14-15. The Red Raiders sit just above Iowa State (1-11) in the standings, making this weekend's matchup even more crucial. The Cyclones still have one more series to play as they will travel to Kansas next weekend for the conference finale. The Iowa State and Kansas series could determine which team earns the final spot in the tournament, with Kansas (2-10) sitting just above Texas Tech, but with one less series played. The Red Raiders would hold the tiebreaker over Kansas after taking two of three games against the Jayhawks.
 - The Red Raiders hold the edge in the overall series with a 38-21 record against the Cyclones including wins in three of the last five meetings. Tech is 17-9 at home against Iowa State heading into the weekend.
