
Tech returns to action at No. 22 Middle Tennessee

The battle of the “Raiders” is set for a 5 p.m. first serve
LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech men's tennis program faces one of its stiffest tests to date on Friday when they travel to Murfreesboro to face No. 22 Middle Tennessee for a 5 p.m. match.
Winners of six of seven, Texas Tech (12-6) last played two weekends ago at the ASU Spring Break Tournament, finishing third overall. After beating Penn State on Friday, Tech lost a tough match to host
ASU on Saturday, before taking the third-place match over Wichita State, 4-2.
Friday's match will be the final non-conference match of the season for Texas Tech, as the Red Raiders will close the season with five Big 12 matches.

SCOUTING THE BLUE RAIDERS:
Winners of 14 straight matches, the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders have been one of the most surprising teams of the 2021-22 season in men's college tennis. All three of MTSU's losses this season have occurred to Power-Five opponents. MTSU lost to now No. 23 Notre Dame, No. 33 Mississippi State and No. 58 Georgia Tech. Since falling at home against the Fighting Irish, MTSU has defeated six Power-Five programs including Arizona, Auburn, Indiana and Virginia Tech. The Blue Raiders won the prestigious Blue-Gray Tournament in Montgomery and have the most wins in the country this season (20).
