
Felix earns NCAA bid on day one of West Regionals

Day two starts Thursday at 2 p.m. with the women’s javelin.
On his second of three throws, Felix launched the javelin 70.76m (232-2) for a new season-best mark as it would stand fifth overall. On his final throw, he recorded a toss of 70.26m (230-6). Felix made his season-debut a week and a half ago at the Big 12 meet and only has five throws under his belt.
Meanwhile, in the 110 hurdles, the second-fastest male hurdler in Tech history, Maliek Kendall, took the top overall time. Running in heat two, Kendall clocked in with a personal best 13.36. In Tech. history, it's the fifth-fastest time as Omo Osaghae holds the top 4 marks. Taylor Rooney (13.88) and Denim Rogers (13.75, PB) also punched a ticket to Friday's quarters race.???????????? ????????????

Over in the men's 100m, a trio of Red Raiders booked a lane in Friday's race, led by Courtney Lindsey who finished the eighth fastest time (10.25, +3.6w). Terrence Jones, Jr., (10.34, -0.4w) claimed 14th and finished second in his heat. Jacolby Shelton (10.40, +1.1w) finished second in his heat and. Had the 22nd fastest mark.Here's Maliek's 13.36 (+0.7) run that puts him in Friday's race for a chance to go to Eugene ??

Moad Zahafi led all 800m runners with a time of 1:46.23 – eighth all-time in Tech history. The final Red Raider in the 800m quarterfinals race Friday will be Marco Vilca, who clocked in 12th overall time (1:48.34).
Malik Metivier also led his 400 hurdles final, etching a time of 50.54 as it stood as the 11th overall time. Freshman Oskar Edlund just made the cut for Friday, placing 22nd overall at 51.47.Moad Zahafi takes 1st in his 800 heat! See ya Friday! His time of 1:46.23 is also the top overall time.

Lindsey will be doubling Friday evening as he qualified for the 200m with a time of 20.21 (+2.8). It was the second-fastest overall time and fourth all-time wind-aided mark in Tech history.400H Heat 5 @_MalikMetivier places 1st with a time of 50.54. Overall, it's 11th.

Logan Fraley and Colton Naffziger capped off the night for Tech night in the pole vault, as they bowed at 5.19m (17-0.25).
