Tech travels to Illini Women’s Invitational at Medinah

The Red Raiders head to the Windy City after first tournament win of the season
LUBBOCK, Texas – Coming off a win at the Red Raider Invitational in Lubbock last week, the Texas Tech women's golf program heads to the Windy City to play in the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah, Oct. 9- Oct. 10.
The Red Raiders tee off at 8:30 a.m. CT on Monday morning in a shotgun start to begin their first 36 holes. Tuesday will also be a shotgun start for all 15 teams competing in the event, but at 9 a.m. CT for the final round.
This week signifies the Red Raiders' fourth tournament of the season, leaving just one more event on their fall schedule later this month in San Marcos, Texas.

Medinah Country Club -- Par 72 -- 6412 yards.

LAST TIME OUT:
Fueled by a seven under par performance last week, freshman Maja Ambroziak is coming off her first collegiate tournament win after finishing the Red Raider Invitational in first.
The freshman was in the lead for the majority of the tournament, taking the lead early in round two and never looking back. Ambroziak used 15 birdies last week to finish atop the leaderboard.
Senior Gala Dumez started the final round with an even score, but would go on to finish -4 and tied for third after an impressive back nine performance.
Rounding out the top six of the player leaderboard was Sophomore Lauren Zaretsky after she moved up one spot in the final round. Zaretsky finished with an overall score of -3, firing three birdies on the front nine.UP NEXT:
After the Women's Invitational at Medinah, the Red Raiders will head to San Marcos to play in the Jim West Challenge, Oct. 22-23. This will be the final tournament the Red Raiders will play in for the fall season.
