Red Raiders Travel to Manhattan

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders are traveling to Manhattan, Kansas to take on Kansas State this week beginning with a match on Friday, Nov. 17 at 6:30 p.m. and then following that up with a 3:00 p.m. match on Saturday, Nov. 18.
The Red Raiders (10-16, 3-11) have racked up 1,443 points net thanks to 1,103 kills, 108 aces and 232.0 blocks. Tech has also recorded 1,420 digs and 1,009 assists on the ball-handling side.
Leading the charge offensively is graduate Caitlin Dugan who has amassed a team-high 301 kills and 337.5 points this season. Dugan reached a milestone as she eclipsed the 1,000 career kill mark with a second set kill to break a 16-16 tie on the Red Raiders way to a 3-2 win over West Virginia.
Reese Rhodes runs the Red Raiders' offense and has passed a team-high 642 assists so far this season. Maddie Correa holds down the backline for Tony Graystone's team as she has tallied 348 digs.
Freshman Reagan Engler leads Tech in hitting percentage posting a .236 while fellow freshman Abby Dickinson leads Tech in serving aces with 17. Kate Hansen, another talented freshman, leads the Red Raiders in blocks with 99.0.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS-
Kansas State (14-10, 8-7) leads the all-time series against Texas Tech, 44-14. However, the Red Raiders split the season series with the Wildcats last season as they took a 3-0 victory which snapped Kansas State's five-game win streak against Tech.
The Wildcats are coming off their biggest win of the season as they defeated No. 3 Texas 3-0 thanks to 45 kills and a .351 hitting percentage. The week prior, Kansas State swept No. 8 BYU taking both matches against them 3-0. Kansas State has won its last four matches at home.
Aliyah Carter leads the Wildcats offense with 347 kills and 289.5 points. Carter is also third on the team in digs and has 36.0 blocks this season.
As a team, the Wildcats have recorded 1,454 points thanks to 1,099 kills, 135 aces and 220.0 blocks. The team has also racked up 1,317 digs and 1,023 assists this season.
