Red Raiders travel to Austin for season finale against No. 4 Texas

LUBBOCK, Texas – The Texas Tech Red Raiders will travel to Austin to take on the No. 4 Texas Longhorns on Saturday, Nov. 25 at 1 p.m. in the Gregory Gymnasium.
The Red Raiders (11-18, 4-13) are coming off their final home match of the season when they beat Oklahoma 3-2 on Wednesday. In that match, Madison Gilliand and Abby Dickinson set career highs for aces and assists, respectively as Reese Rhodes eclipsed 2,000 career assists. Tech saw themselves down 1-2 in the match for winning sets four and five to seal the win and complete its first comeback from down 1-2 since they did it against SMU in 2021.
SCOUTING THE LONGHORNS
The Longhorns (21-4, 16-1) have already locked in the title of Big 12 regular season champions and lead the conference in points per set (17.98), hitting percentage (.276) and blocks per set (2.90).
Texas is led by Asjia O'Neal who leads the conference in blocks per set (1.50) and Madisen Skinner who leads the Big 12 in kills per set (4.64) and points per set (5.31).
BY THE NUMBERS
- Brynn Williams and Reese Rhodes picked up their eighth double-doubles of the season against the Sooners as Williams recorded 17 kills and 10 digs while Rhodes dished out 41 assists and picked up 10 digs.
- Caitlin Dugan recorded her 18th double-digit kill game of the season as she recorded 12 while Maddie Correa got double-digit digs for the 18th time this season thanks to 17 against Oklahoma.
- Tech recorded eight aces, led by Madison Gillilands four, which marks the third most this season.
- The Red Raiders also combined for 13.0 blocks against the Sooners, which is the 13th time they've recorded double-digit blocks this season.
