Chukwuma sets another 200m top-10 mark

Chukwuma now holds the top-4 outdoor 200m marks
WACO, Texas – Rosemary Chukwuma ran the 200m for the first time outdoors this season securing the No. 2 mark in Tech history running a 22.72 (1.8) Friday evening at Clyde Track & Field Stadium. She holds the school record at 22.33, set last season at the Big 12 Championships.
Chukwuma has run the 100m three times this season but had yet to run the 200m until tonight. The Nigerian won her heat by a good margin and her time was good for fourth overall, only behind three professional sprinters. As of tonight, her time of 22.72 sits 13th in the NCAA.
In the women's 1500m, Hannah Spears claimed a PB coming in at 4:36.19, while Adele Clarke was right on her teammate's heels at 4:36.98. For the men, Timothy Gregg paced the way for the Tech men as he clocked in at 3:49.55. Paul Sherrill finished right behind him with a PB time of 3:50.03.
