
Cross country set for NMJC Invite

The Red Raiders will have two more meets left before postseason action
LUBBOCK, Texas – Select members of the Texas Tech cross country team will compete in the New Mexico Junior College (NMJC) Invite Friday morning at Harry McAdams Park in Hobbs, N.M.

The women will be running a 5k as the men run an 8k. Results will be provided by NMJC at the conclusion of the meet. There will be no live results.

Friday's meet will mark the third regular season race of the year – Tech hosted the TTU Open last Saturday at the LCU Cross Country Course before starting the season in Wyoming on Sept. 2.

Last Time Out
The Texas Tech women (6k) placed second while the men (8k) placed fourth in the TTU Open. The women scored each runner inside the top-17, paced by newcomer Lily Mather in eighth with a time of 23:18.30. Gideon Kiplimo made his Red Raider debut leading the way for the men's side placing third with a time of 25:14.50.
