Tech to host Red Raider Invite at Rawls, Mon/Tues

Both admission and parking will be free; the event kicks off Monday at 8:15.
LUBBOCK, Texas – Fresh off a strong performance at the Sam Golden in Dallas, the Texas Tech women's golf program returns home to host the Red Raider Invitational this week at the Rawls Course.
The event this week will mark the first time that Tech has hosted a stroke-play tournament since April of 2016. Both admission and parking for the event will be free.
The two-day tournament begins on Monday, Sept. 25 at 8:15 a.m., with the first two rounds of play. The 56-hole event concludes on Tuesday, Sept. 26 with the third round starting at 8 a.m., as well.

THE LAST TIME OUT:
Fueled by rounds of 71 from freshman Maja Ambroziak and sophomore Shannon Tan, the Texas Tech women's golf team finished in seventh at the Sam Golden Invitational.
Maja shot rounds of 68, 69 and 71 to finish her first ever collegiate tournament in the top 10, finishing tied for tied for 10th individually.
Tan, who was dominant in all three rounds, ended the week inside the top-25 with rounds of 70 and a pair of 71's. She went on to finish -4 for the tournament.
Junior Kylee Loewe started Day Two on fire, birdying three of her first eight holes. Loewe would go on to finish -1 for the tournament and placed 35th individually.
As a team, the Red Raiders finished -17, just three shots behind fifth place Tulsa (-20) and Nebraska (-20).
After the Sam Golden Invitational, the Red Raiders have now had at least three players finish in the top-35 this year. Tech has also had an individual finish in the top-10 in both tournaments as well.
