WEEKENDNOTES:
LOOKING TO AVENGE 2022
The Red Raiders will look to avenge the 2022 series against TCU where the Red Raiders were swept in a three-game series. In that weekend, TCU took the Thursday night opener 7-4, before seeing a late comeback on Friday come up short. In the Saturday finale (the series was Thurs-Sat due to the Easter Holiday), the Red Raiders allowed eight runs in the last three innings to flip a 3-1 game into an 11-3 TCU win.LOOKING TO AVENGE 2022
Â
TRYING TO WIN A SERIES IN FORT WORTHÂ Â Â
In an interesting schedule "oddity" the Red Raiders have played in Fort Worth just three times since 2016 and just twice since 2018. As such, the Red Raiders will be seeking their first series win in "Cowtown" since 2016 when Tech won a key rubber-match to steal the series from the Horned Frogs. The Red Raiders were scheduled to play in Fort Worth in 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic necessitated the cancelation of the 2020 season in March.

Â
ONE RUN SEPARATES US
In the all-time series that includes 184 all-time matchups, the Red Raiders and Horned Frogs have been separated by just a singular run. The Red Raiders have score 1088 all-time runs and TCU has scored 1087 runs.Â
DEEP IN THE HEART OF TEXAS
Heading into the weekend, the Red Raiders have played 28 of 34 games in the State of Texas. Including this weekend, the Red Raiders will play 31 of their first 37 games in-state, and will play 36 of 56 games in Texas this season.Â
DAY LATER MEANS WE'LL STAY ON THE ROAD
Originally scheduled to play ACU on Tuesday night, the Red Raiders contest was moved to Wednesday due to projected weather in the Abilene area. As a result, Tech will now stay on the road following its contest against ACU. The Red Raiders will hit the road on Wednesday morning and head to Abilene. After the game on Wednesday, Tech will spend the night in Abilene, before driving Thursday morning to Fort Worth for the weekend set against the Horned Frogs. Tech will stay in Fort Worth through Monday, where they will next head to Fayetteville, Ark. for a date with No. 1 Arkansas.
